13.3- Structure and Function of the Feet and Ankles

AP13.3.1 Given an image, trainee will identify and label the following bones and structures of the ankle and foot, with 85% accuracy:

  • Tibia
  • Fibula
  • Talus
  • Calcaneus
  • Cuboid
  • Navicular
  • Metatarsals
  • Phalanges
  • Lateral Arch
  • Medial Arch

 

AP13.3.2 Given a position of the ankle and multiple options from which to choose, trainee will identify general location of agonist muscles that initiate given position, with 85% accuracy.

AP13.3.3 Given an image and multiple options from which to choose, trainee will identify the following positions of the ankle and foot with 85% accuracy:

  • Plantarflexion
  • Dorsiflexion
  • Eversion / Pronation
  • Inversion / Supination

 

AP13.3.4 Given multiple options from which to choose, trainee will identify the general location of the muscles and connective tissue that support the main arches of the foot.
